I remember reading this book many many years ago and absolutely loving it but let me read a short paragraph in reference to one of Elizabeth's classmates, "a pasty faced girl, very plain and spotty. Her hair was greasy looking and she had a very unpleasant expression, almost a scowl. Nobody liked her at all".

Does anybody else find that somewhat unkind? Here's Hazel anyway; literally with her nose burried in her book.
