Yay new books! Jodi Picoult's books are pretty good; see if you can get your hands on Songs of the Humpback Whale. I like the look of the Branson one! We have to study Virgin sometimes as a case study on diversification and how most of its businesses are unrelated and yet it's still 'successful' - apparently only their airline business is making money consistently. Everything else that fails is quietly hidden away...oooo conspiracy theory...
Did you hear about how some competitor airline censored out Branson's cameo in the new James Bond in their inflight version of the movie? And censored the shot of the Virgin jet in the background too...sucks for them cos I for one don't remember which airline was so bitter as to censor out a rival, but I remember Virgin's role in the story - haha free publicity for Virgin.
I might be coming home to visit in the holidays, depends on what Mum thinks is an acceptable length of time given the constraints I have re exams, H's parents coming to visit us and school starting again. So ummm...we'll see.
xx to you and the kids :)
The Branson, Disney story & Da Vinci Code (a beautiful hardcover, glossy paged book with numerous colour pics) are for Mark. He also chose The Lone Pig (some cannibally story which I won't be reading). I can't wait to read my new books. Last Saturday I finished a book in a day (a kind of dark story about a teenage girl whose best friend was killed, a boyfriend who left her, trouble with parents, weight and depression issues, etc) but filled with other interesting characters such as her mum & aunt and family.
Your dad went to the boot sale too and found a dog-eared copy of Forsyth's Day of the Jackal - Mark promptly laid temporary claim to this.
Oh please come back for the hols and for as long as you possibly can - we really miss you and we didn't get to spend as much time together as we should have last Dec. Luv,ee.
And How to pass your driving test was for Dom, and Mark & Hazel eventually.
