Chap Goh Mei - 15th day of Chinese New Year. Whipped up another feast consisting of all the children's favourites and food which we have had the week before.
Prawns with garlic, shallots and ginger.
Steamed fish again! The last of the 3 groupers, cooked by Wm.
Children's plates, loaded with their favourite food.

The STAR of the dinner - fish soup with tofu, tomatoes, salted vegetables, coriander, seaweed. A true labour of love, it took Wm 2 days to make this, first painstakingly making the fish stock (from fish head/bones and a whole fish - panfry, boil, mash, strain), then adding rest of the ingredients.

Table shots. By the time the 3 kgs of chicken wings was done, I think we had already eaten half of them, Dom said he has travelled far and wide to many continents and nothing beats home fried chicken wings. I think he has earned himself a permanent spot on my dining table.

Selina's favourite - kangkong with sambal. I fried 6 bunches. Yes, SIX bunches of kangkong.

Fried TOFU again.

Here I am in front of a huge wok frying away in the garden, feeding the mosquitoes, and having a beer.
The sambal mix - 2 bowls of dried shrimp, belachan, chillies, garlic & shallots.
And the 3 kgs of wings, marinating away.
The children's table.
