Kids' lunch today.

A simple Beef, Peas & Onion Pie.

Cook the mince first - brown mince in some oil with diced onions. Add black pepper and some mixed herbs, a tablespoon of flour, little butter & beef stock. Simmer till gravy is thick and luscious. Add peas last and cook till softened. Cool slightly.
Line a baking dish with a layer of puff pastry (don't bother to oil dish, etc). Top with mince.
and a layer on top - don't throw the trimmings away - just scatter them randomly over the top of the pie. Pierce some holes in the pastry to allow steam to escape while baking.
Bake till golden brown approx 25 mins on med high heat. Serve with salad.
I used Pampas ready made puff pastry.
