Mark had a friend sleep over tonight as they have an early Tasek run with their school tomorrow. This was what I cooked for their dinner to give them lots of energy for tomorrow.
Serve with roasted crunchy roasted potatoes and broccoli.

Buy three pieces of frozen salmon, thaw and remove scales, marinate with assorted herbs (I used tarragon, marjoram and parsley), garlic, shallots, lime juice & skins, salt & black pepper, olive oil and the magic ingredient; a dash of light soy sauce. Grill on high heat till toppings are crisp and don't forget to baste midway.

Mark's friend said it was just like a 'restaurant' meal - hehe.

I had a piece of steak done almost very medium rare (with a dollop of garlic butter on top and of course, HOT English mustard), the way I like it with 2 glasses of Merlot - perfect for a Friday evening. Simple pleasures - good food, decent roof over our heads, kids healthy, happy and tired from playing at home and wine - I really don't need much more. (oh, well a jumbo 2.55 would be nice, very very nice).
Taken without flash.
After dinner entertainment was piano by L and Hazel. L played some beautiful pieces.

Don't worry if the children are not looking particularly washed - they played water bombs in the garage (free car wash, PT) and the boys practised their golf swings with an old club and some balls here.
