I made fried chicken for my kids for dinner today - fried chicken is always a treat for them as I don't make it often.

So all you have to do is clean and wash a chicken, and chop into large pieces. Marinate in oyster & light soy sauce, white pepper, sugar, sesame oil and a bit of salt. Add finely grated ginger. Keep in refrigerator until needed.

Half an hour before cooking time, take chicken out of fridge to let it come to room temperature. Dip in corn flour and fry in hot clean oil. Drain on paper towels and serve. There you are, hot, tasty, crunchy homemade fried chicken. $6 for a big serving.

They had some spinach too and fruit for dessert.
