I made some marinated mushrooms tonight; which was eaten over spaghetti aglio olio - the mushrooms were bought from the recent Consumer Fair and were $10 for a kilo - they were very fresh and firm. Bought 3 types - oyster, shitake and one other unknown type - was told they are 'crunchy mushrooms' in Mandarin. Added some fresh white button mushrooms from SS.
So here is a four mushroom pasta dish.
Later that evening, some friends came over with foie gras & chilled Piper to add to our 'snack' menu of marinated mushrooms, sliced cold extreme rare ribeye with English mustard, roast garlicky potatoes, spaghetti aglio olio and toasts. Some Merlot, Shiraz and Glenlivet (for some :-) saw us through a very verryy pleasant evening.
Remember this?
